Destruction of formaldehyde emissions through microwaves

The feasibility of destruction of emissions of formaldehyde produced from wood chipboard panels, which use as a unifying glue of the type urea-formaldehyde, was carried on at the Workshop on Formaldehyde in collaboration with the Department of Materials and Environment Engineering (DIMA) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Initial experiments were carried out at the laboratories of DIMA. A feasibility study about the rapid continuous microwave rapid gluing of cellulose-based products, modeling and developing a dedicated applicator operating at the 2.45 GHz ISM frequency.
